I am proud you are here. You have taken the often challenging first step on a journey to improving your life, or in seeking help to support someone you care about. Your awareness that self-help is needed beyond your own abilities is not always an easy thing to accept and may even bring about more anxiety or depression than you are already feeling. Let me assure you though that while every one of us has our own unique barriers to living healthy and happy lives, you have also learned valuable lessons that can be applied to your personal growth. I understand the usual feelings of vulnerability and reluctance that seeking counseling or therapy can bring and I respect your individuality and desire for autonomy. With that said, I will never judge you or your problems nor minimize the life-difficulties help is being sought for.
It is a primary goal, through the course of all services offered, to remove emotional and mental barriers holding back a life worth living and that feels proud to sustain. A client knows themselves better than anyone else, they are their own expert on their problems as well as on the solutions that will work best for their lives. . When you contact Minding You staff, you will immediately feel our genuine desire to help – a desire that comes from a sincere and undeniable passion to improve the lives and well being of all who are in need.
Minding You understands that not everyone who needs help, needs our help. In talking with prospective clients, we educate about options that may be available to best to meet someone’s needs. Often times the desire to get help quickly outweighs the awareness of what one really needs (and does not need). You deserve the best care and there should never be a “feeble” attempt made to “fix“ you or your life, nor should any clinician ever impose services on you that are not helpful or what you’re in search of. When you come in for a consultation or your first session, we will begin by determining if the services provided by Minding You are best suited to meet your needs. If it is determined we are not the "best fit", we will work with you to find someone who can be of better service. We want to ensure you receive the most sound, competent, complete and ethical mental health care.
I feel privileged you are considering Minding You services as an option. I am proud to be a "social worker" and even more honored to be a clinical (therapist) social worker. This is not a job I take lightly. I am privileged to touch lives with encouragement and positivity that nurtures personal growth and promotes the reawakening of a passion for living. I hope you will reach out for more information if you feel a connection to what you’re in search of.
With Warmest Regards to Living the Happiest and Most Productive Life Possible,
